SMCC student-athletes receive MACJC academic honors

Seventy-two Southwest student-athletes are among those who have been honored with academic awards from the MACJC.

 

Named MACJC Distinguished Academic All-State (with a 3.8-4.0 GPA) were Paco Bello, Michael Buck, Jace DeLee, Reid Havard, Gage Kiser, Aaron Ragsdale, Tyler White and Nathan Yennie (baseball);

 

TJ Ben (men's basketball); Tootie Rankin and Breanna Zeringue (women's basketball);

 

Joaquin Bermejillo, Jarrett Green and Ryan Ivey (men's soccer); Auset Gibbs, Nevin Holley and Layla Wilson (women's soccer);

 

Carrington Jefcoat, Jade Latham, Madison Newman, Bailey Sartin and Linley Smith (softball); and, Sarah Robinson and Kimberly San (women's tennis).

Southwest's MACJC Academic All-State honorees (with a 3.25-3.79 GPA) were Brendon Baker, Ethan Campo, Kyle Dillard, Cody Ellzey, Will Ford, Trey Forsythe, DJ Lewis, Daren Smith and Tucker Watts (baseball);

 

Jalon Andrews, Arturro Bingham Damian Dear, Avery Diggs, Robert Kendrick and Roderick Smith (men's basketball); Nia Henderson, Ty Lee and Jamaya Galloway (women's basketball);

 

Jaleel Davis, Luke Hawkins, Zarious Keyes, Dedric Smith, Tamos Stevenson and Brazos Webb (football);

 

Nate Bond, Keven Florian, Peter Kettle, Patrick Larsen and Felipe Madero (men's soccer); Kaitlyn Bass, Maddie Beard, Chrisi Godfrey, Allison Sherman, Lesley Walker and Skyler Walker (women's soccer);

 

Tia Bussey, Kalyn Chemin, Devin Frierson, Madison Gower, Kailyn Jordan, Ryleigh McManus Jordan McNabb, Terrah Nelson, Makennah Redd and Jami Spears (softball);

 

Hunter Burgess and Skyler Rasberry (men's tennis); and, Megan White (women's tennis).
