Fagan named MACJC Player of the Week

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Chase Fagan has been named MACJC Player of the Week after a monster performance in the playoffs.

Fagan, a sophomore left fielder from Hancock High, helped slug Gulf Coast past Northwest in their Region 23 Tournament sweep in Senatobia. In the deciding 17-8 win in Game 2, he had a home run, a triple and two doubles while batting 4-for-6.

He also had a hit in a 9-5 win in Game 1 and now has a seven-game hit streak.

Fagan is the fifth different Bulldog to win a weekly award this season. Others include pitcher Josh Lewis, right fielder Brandon Parker, third baseman Dylan Menhennett and catcher/designated hitter Logan McGrew.
