POPLARVILLE, Miss. — The accolades keep rolling in for two Pearl River Lady Wildcats.
Sophomore catcher Mary Grace Turner (Leakesville; Greene County) and freshman shortstop Brooke Fagan (Kiln; Hancock) were both named to the All-Region XXIII team, Region Director Brent Harris recently announced.
Both Turner and Fagan also represented PRCC on the All-MACJC First Team, while teammates BreAnna Corkern (Watson, La.; Live Oak), Elizabeth Taggard (Picayune) and Grace Stringer (Moselle; South Jones) all earned spots on the All-MACJC Second Team.

Turner transformed from a role player into a record setter as a sophomore, blasting a program-best 18 homers. Her round trippers also ranked fifth nationally. The William Carey signee also hit .397 with 48 RBIs and 16 doubles in addition to playing masterfully behind the plate. Turner was named the MACJC Player of the Week once this season.
Fagan was a complete player for the Lady Wildcats, excelling at the plate, on the bases and in the field. The freshman hit .355 with a .432 on-base percentage. She finished her freshman season with 44 runs scored, 55 hits, 13 doubles, four homers, 25 RBIs, 19 walks and 13 stolen bases. Fagan improved her hitting against MACJC competition, hitting .389 with a .461 OBP.
