ELLISVILLE – Jones College Head Softball Coach Chris Robinson believes the Bobcats got everything they wanted with their latest recruiting class.

"We are extremely pleased to add these 12 terrific student-athletes to our program," he said. "When we started compiling this class, we wanted it to be athletic with power and I believe we accomplished that. This group is not only going to be great players, but also tremendous students who fit our atmosphere that we have at Jones. Great ball players, but even better people."

Robinson praised Associate Head Coach Bob Herrington and Assistant Coach Tori Dew for their efforts in putting the cIass together.

"I can't give enough credit to my staff, Associate Head Coach Bob Herrington and Assistant Coach Tori Dew, for the many miles on the road recruiting this class."

Sydney Pevey – IF – Lawrence County

Robinson on Pevey: "Pevey is a middle infielder with terrific arm strength. She's a very savvy player that knows the game well. She has had over 100 RBI's in her high school career so she's someone that can come up with the big hit to drive people in."

Sarah Ballard – OF – Purvis (Impact Gold Holeman Premier)

Robinson on Ballard: "Sarah is short in stature, but plays like she is 8 feet tall. Always playing hard and the right way. Sarah is a slapper that will bring speed and intelligence on the base paths. Her ability to cover ground in the outfield will help her get in the lineup next year."

Skylar McLellan – OF – Brandon (MS Elite 01 Gold)

Robinson on McLellan: "Skylar is a kid that will bring tremendous value to our program. Her ability both offensively and defensively is going to have a huge impact on our team. She has an uncanny ability to go find the ball in the outfield."
