Mississippi Gulf Coast Athletics Hall of Famer Brittney Reese picked up her 11th national title Sunday, winning the long jump at the U.S Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, N.M.

Reese jumped her season-best 22 feet, 7 inches on her third attempt, and matched it on her fifth to win by nine inches over Quanesha Burks. She added to her indoor titles from 2009, 2010 and 2016, and her haul of seven outdoor national championships.

She will be going for her fourth world indoor title at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Birmingham, England. The women's long jump will be contested March 4.

Reese has also won Olympic gold (2012) and silver (2016) medals, as well as four world outdoor titles (2009, 2011, 2013 and 2017).

The Gulfport native was an NJCAA All-American playing basketball at Gulf Coast, then went on to win two NCAA championships in the long jump at Ole Miss.
